The “Bandit Weapons Specialist” is a basic collection achievement that requires players to obtain all 19 Bandit Weapons. Upon completion players are rewarded with a variety of loot including a 20 slot bag called the “Bandit Coin Purse”. This guide will show you how to complete the Bandit Weapons Collection, with detailed explanations of each method.

Unlocking The Collection

To unlock the collection and begin acquiring the weapons you must purchase a “Bandit Combat Journal” from the Bandit Crest Collector near the Camp Resolve waypoint in the Silverwastes. The Bandit Combat Journal costs 10 silver + 150 Bandit Crests. Bandit Crests are earned by completing events in the Silverwastes at an average rate of 10-20 crests per successful event. Consuming the journal will unlock the Bandit Weapons Specialist collection.

Purchasing Bandit Weapons

Bandit weapons can be obtained through 4 sources: Trading Post, WvW Karma Vendor (Equipment Trader), WvW Weapon Vendor, and through Crafting. All 19 weapons can be purchased from the Trading Post, while only 16 can be purchased from either the World vs World Karma Vendor or Weapons Master. The 3 Bandit weapons not sold by the WvW merchants are the underwater weapons (Spear, Harpoon, Trident). The underwater weapons can be purchased from the Trading Post or Crafted individually to complete the collection.

Trading Post

All Bandit weapons can be purchased directly from the Trading Post. At the time of publishing prices ranged from 37 to 72 silver per weapon.

WvW Karma Vendor

The WvW vendors can be accessed by traveling to the “Eternal Battlegrounds” WvW map. If you haven’t been there before, open the WvW menu by clicking the icon or pressing “B” and select Eternal Battlegrounds to be teleported directly there.

The WvW Karma Vendor (labelled as “Equipment Trader”) sells Bandit Weapons for various amounts of Karma. The cheapest way to obtain the Bandit weapons is to visit this vendor with a low level character, ideally level 1. A low level character is best to use because the Karma Vendor adjusts the Karma prices based on your character’s level. So a level 1 character pays 160 – 300 Karma while a level 80 character must pay 1,715 – 3,185 Karma per weapon. The total amount of Karma needed to purchase the 16 available Bandit weapons is 3,820 for a level 1 character and 40,670 for a level 80 character.

WvW Weapons Master

The WvW Weapons Master is accessed in the same manner as the WvW Karma Vendor outlined above. The Weapons Master sells 16 of the Bandit weapons at a rate of 1 gold each + 132 – 192 Badges of Honor (BoH). Badges of Honor are obtained through WvW events.

Crafting Bandit Weapons

Crafting Bandit weapons requires being at least level 125 in Weaponsmith, Huntsman and/or Artificer. Bandit weapons are crafted from standard iron and soft wood components in addition to various Iron Imbued Inscriptions (e.g. “Ravaging Iron Imbued Inscription”) that must be purchased from the respective crafting vendor. If you purchased the 16 available Bandit weapons from the WvW Karma Vendor or Weapons Master you will only need to craft the remaining 3 underwater weapons (Trident, Harpoon and Spear), assuming that you do not want to purchase them directly from the Trading Post.
