ArenaNet has released a 64 bit client for Guild Wars 2 that aims to fix several crashing issues and improve performance through more efficient use of system memory. This is welcomed news since many players have been requesting a 64 bit client for years. The 64 bit client is currently in beta and can be used alongside the existing client.
If you haven’t heard by now, the gold reward from dungeons in Guild Wars 2 has been cut to 1/3 of the pre-update amount. This may be the nail in the coffin for dungeons since they’ve essentially been on life-support for the last year or so. One of the main reasons players were giving dungeons any attention at all was because decent amounts of gold were awarded for their efforts.
A large patch was released alongside Heart of Thorns on October 23rd. Aside from new features, the patch included general updates and improvements to the core game. Guild Wars 2’s annual Halloween Festival will begin on October 23rd, 2015. The event is titled “The Shadow of the Mad King” and will feature two weeks of spooky fun.
