Since updates were made to the Ascended Weapon system back in June, players are now able to change Ascended Weapon stats whenever they want. This is extremely useful because players are no longer forced to stick with Ascended Weapons that have undesirable stats. For example, say you have an Ascended Weapon with Soldier’s stats (Power, Toughness, Vitality) that you are unsatisfied with. You can now change that weapon’s stats to another set like Berserker’s (Power, Precision, Ferocity). Changing stats requires combining the Ascended Weapon, Orichalcum Imbued Inscription, 5 Globs of Ectoplasm, and Anthology of Heroes in the Mystic Forge. This guide will walk you through exactly how this is done, using an example Ascended Weapon with Valkyrie stats and changing them to Berserker’s stats.

Step 1: Obtain 5 Globs of Ectoplasm and an Orichalcum Imbued Inscription

If you don’t already have 5 Globs of Ectoplasm handy you can purchase them directly from the trading post. Then you need to either purchase or craft an Orichalcum Imbued Inscription with the stats you want your Ascended Weapon to have. In this example I will be using a Berserker’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription with Power, Precision and Ferocity stats.

Step 2: Obtain an Anthology of Heroes

Anthology of Heroes can be purchased from Miyani at the Mystic Forge for 10 Spirit Shards. This is a special item that allows the stats of Ascended Weapons to be changed.

Step 3: Combine Items with Ascended Weapon in the Mystic Forge

Finally, you’ll need to combine all of the above items with your Ascended Weapon in the Mystic Forge. Upon completion you will receive a new Ascended Weapon with new stats.
